Coming here may have been one of the hardest steps you have had to take in a while. Taking this step might mean that you have come to realize that you, your child, or someone you love is in need of added support. The weight of life can become heavy, sometimes too heavy to carry on your own. By taking this step, you are beginning a new journey. This journey is one that you will not have to take alone.
We are all human! Life is hard! Therapy can be a safe space for you to bring all of the good and bad aspects of your life and not have fear of judgement. There was no handbook written on how to live life perfectly. Everyone’s journey through life is different and beautiful in it’s own unique way. I hope you will decide to take this journey with me as your therapist. Please contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation, to ensure that you feel confident in taking the next steps with me by your side.

SPECIALTIES
Life is a journey that we each take and sometimes we can become tired and overwhelmed by the bumps in the road along the way. Have you ever felt this way? Well, if so, you are not alone.
I know I have felt this way before and find myself simply needing someone to listen while I talk. Sometimes it is the weight of going through each day completing basic tasks, or the weight of being a parent, a spouse, a child or a friend that becomes too much to handle by yourself. If you have been feeling this way, I would love to be that person to sit, listen, and be present with you. Seeking out a therapist, for some, is overwhelming and out of their comfort zone. I want this experience to be one that offers you peace and a feeling of safety as we process and problem solve the many issues that life throws our way together.
It is possible to have a life of happiness, and when the journey becomes rough, to be able to move forward. Therapy can help give you that and allow you to go through life with more happiness and hope for the future.
My name is Ashley Wyllys and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Austin, TX area. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals and families ranging in ages from a young child to the elderly. I adapt the interventions used in therapy to best fit what you are needing from our time together. I specialize in helping children and adolescents with special needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and different types of challenging behaviors that might come up at school or at home. I like to work with parents to help guide them and provide them with the resources needed to help their child.I also have experience helping clients through grief and loss, children and families working through expulsions from school, having involvement with the juvenile justice system, and trauma.
Children and adolescents may be my specialty, but I welcome everyone that walks through my door the same way and want them to feel safe, feel seen, and feel heard by me. I know seeking help can be hard, but it doesn't have to be. I hope you and/or your family members decide to spend some of your life’s journey working with me!
